Jonaan McLeod (Ngāpuhi, Te Whakatohea) is a Manurewa local who wants to ensure every child is supported to thrive and achieve their potential.
Manurewa born and raised, Jonaan attended Puutake Te Wahanga Māori at James Cook High School before completing a conjoint law and arts degree at the University of Auckland and training as a lawyer.
Jonaan is passionate about community development in South Auckland and, as co-chairperson of the Rūnanga at Manukau Institute of Technology, currently works as an advocate for quality educational outcomes, particularly for Māori and Pasifika whanau.
As a staunch advocate for Manurewa, Jonaan will work to ensure the people of our community and our shared values guide the Manurewa Local Board’s decision making. #loverewa
